MANAGEMENT

Description:

This course prepares graduates to work in commerce, industry, services, and all kinds of consulting agencies, economic organisations and employers' organisations on the medium and higher levels of management. Graduates will have a theoretical and practical knowledge of management and related sciences concerning the operability and problems of enterprises and public institutions. In addition, they will have the ability to recognize, diagnose, and troubleshoot the management of human resources, financial and factual information. This course prepares students to work in professional organizations and management, to assume leadership positions in organizations and work on their own initiative.

The financial management and accounting specialization allows students to gain skills in finance and accounting, and prepares them to work in management positions in banks, investment funds, insurance companies and consulting firms. There are eleven compulsory subjects, relating to corporate accounting, corporate finance and management of investment projects, business law and taxation, markets and financial instruments, the capital market and stock exchange, banking and insurance, and international economic relations. In addition, this profile allows the student to develop specific financial management skills by participating in workshops and learning a foreign language in the context of business.

The management of small and medium-sized enterprises specialization prepares the graduate for work in small and medium-sized firms. The acquired knowledge and skills will foster professional  attitudes and abilities, and enable the graduate to thrive in the environment of a small or medium-sized company.

The international business specialization (offered in English) makes the student well-versed in and fit for functioning in international organisations. The concentration comprises eleven modules focusing on theoretical knowledge, practical insight, and social competence, including but not limited to specific features of international trade, international market analysis, issues of globalisation and regionalisation in world economy, intercultural management and the functioning of financial market institutions. The International business specialty provides opportunity to seek employment in business organisations, advisory bodies, and it prepares the student to conduct his/her own business activity on the global market.

LOGISTICS

Description:

Graduates from this course will have acquired  knowledge of the functioning of modern logistic systems, the foundations of Economics, organization and management, and managerial skills. They will be ready to work in manufacturing, logistics, design and advisory units dealing with logistics, and economic and administrative units requiring knowledge of logistics, economics and information technology, and organizational skills.

The management of logistics process specialization includes fourteen compulsory subjects enabling students to acquire knowledge and specific skills in the fields of transport and forwarding management, distribution channels, network inventory management, customer relationship management, transport infrastructure, logistics centres, logistic systems, packaging, logistics services, management systems in logistics, inventory management and material flow and transport and customs law. In addition, training of specific abilities takes place in logistics workshops (training and decision-making games) and training with  foreign language specialists.

The logistics in firms specialization includes fourteen compulsory subjects in the fields of economic analysis of logistics processes, risk management and logistics in the crisis, market and competition analysis, logistics management, marketing logistics, logistics in business management, management accounting, sales management and customer service, e-logistics, recycling and disposal logistics,  company finance and business law. In addition, this specialization allows the student to develop specific skills through participation in business logistics management workshops (training and decision-making games) and training with foreign language specialists.
